Rational, But Not Animal
I designed and programmed five different robots for "Rational, But Not Animal" at the Green Art Gallery. These robots display qualities that are unique to the human experience, such as abstract thought, humor and compassion. They react to participants in order to assert an identity of their own, but in doing so they expose their flaws, revealing the complexity of human behavior.

Hug Me: A fuzzy robot that cries. Give him a hug for temporary comfort.

Millennial Kid: A mobile robot that takes selfies and uploads them to social media.

Robert the Magical Computer: A robot that entertains you…until he finds a way out.

talkingblinds.com: Control the blinds with your smart phone. Eavesdrop on their conversations.

Can I Trust You with Me?: A robot that turns itself to face you. But can she trust you?
